Melancólico ( o citado “rain rain rain”), nervoso (“Veterans day”) e arrogante ( Fd29yrblues ). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lembra &lt;strong&gt;Tom Waits&lt;/strong&gt;, &lt;strong&gt;Bob Dylan&lt;/strong&gt;, &lt;strong&gt;Leonard Cohen &lt;/strong&gt;e &lt;strong&gt;Neil Young&lt;/strong&gt;. Existem orgãos e feed-back. Existem palavras desesperadas de tristeza ( “&lt;em&gt;revenge as got me this far, can you imagine my luck&lt;/em&gt;” - in “The Ballad of So and So”) e raiva ( “&lt;em&gt;I´m a n American, heartbroke and forgiving, I kill for good living &lt;/em&gt;“ – in “I´m an American”).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A música é esparsa. Faz-se e grava-se por alguém que escreve no booklet que acompanha o disco: &lt;em&gt;“ all songs are written, performed, recorded and mixed by myself on a tascam mf-p01 4track”.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Quando questionado pela UNCUT sobre o porquê de ter gravado estas canções num gravador de quatro pistas respondeu: &lt;em&gt;“ That was what was available. But the advantage was that it´s so simple it allows you to be more immediate.”&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Digno de referência è ainda a versão de “Something in the Night” de Bruce Springsteen. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Estamos perante uma beleza e uma ironia que se completam pois, como o seu autor o afirma: &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;“I guess there´s a degree of irony ( no título do álbum ). But it´s a beautiful notion.
